Susan Davidson, FCA
Susan’s story

Chartered, experienced — and refreshingly down to earth

Susan Davidson is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland (FCA) and a small-business owner herself. That combination matters: she brings the rigour of a chartered accountant, but explains everything in the plain, practical language of someone who understands the day-to-day reality of running a business.

Running a business is exciting — but keeping on top of the numbers can sometimes feel overwhelming. Susan’s job is to take that weight off your shoulders — keeping you compliant, keeping your records straight, and making sure you always know where you stand.

She works with clients from her base in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, and supports small businesses right across the UK.

What matters to us

Clarity, practicality, no jargon

Three simple principles shape every conversation and every piece of work.

Clarity

You should understand your own numbers. We explain what the figures mean and why they matter, in plain English — never leaving you nodding along to things you don’t follow.

Practicality

Advice you can actually act on. We focus on the next sensible step for your business, not theory — real, workable support that fits how you already work.

No jargon

No unnecessary jargon, ever. If a bit of accountancy language is unavoidable, we’ll tell you what it means so you’re never left in the dark.

Who Susan helps

Built around smaller businesses

Maine Accounting is a natural fit if you’re a sole trader, a partnership or a small limited company that wants a real relationship with an accountant who takes the time to understand your business.

  • Sole traders who want their tax and records handled properly.
  • Partnerships that need clear, shared visibility of the numbers.
  • Small limited companies looking for compliance plus a steady hand on decisions.
  • New businesses that want to get set up right from day one.
How Susan works

A relationship, not a transaction

Good accountancy is a conversation. We start by understanding your business and what you want from it, then agree the support that fits — whether that’s the essentials handled quietly in the background, or someone to think things through with.

  • A friendly first chat to understand where you are.
  • The right level of support, explained clearly up front.
  • Deadlines tracked so nothing catches you out.
  • A familiar point of contact whenever you need one.
